from Derek Catsam: "We're #1 in Forbes! Suck it Amherst!" ...

Derek says in a voice to be heard over the screams of other schools...
The Ironic Columns tell the story

:
"Forbes just released its college rankings. They simply rank the top 200 colleges and universities, so Harvard and Williams and Michigan and for that matter UTPB are all in one pool. #1 in the land? Williams College!!! Suck it Amherst! For that matter, suck it, Harvard!!!!!"

From the story:

The best years of life are also among the most expensive. Choose with care.

Our annual ranking of the 650 best undergraduate institutionsfocuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt. Unlike other lists, we pointedly ignore ephemeral measures such as school “reputation” and ill-conceived metrics that reward wasteful spending. We try and evaluate the college purchase as a consumer would:  Is it worth spending as much as a quarter of a million dollars for this degree?  The rankings are prepared exclusively for Forbes by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, a Washington, D.C. think tank founded by Ohio University economist Richard Vedder.

Princeton 2, USMA 3, Amherst 4, Stanford  5, Harvard  6
Thanks, dcat! Let's see how long it takes the competition to get this story up!
