Williams Art Mafioso Keith Wilson '78 on PBS with reconstructing looted Chinese temples through digital technology ...

Keith Wilson '78, Associate Director and Curator of Ancient Chinese Art at the Smithsonians' Freer and Sackler Galleries  in Washington, DC, appeared last evening on the PBS Evening News discussing the use of digital technology in reconstructing looted Chinese cave temples.

Wilson has employed scanning techniques that enable identification of objects now scattered in museums around the world to be matched to their originsl locations in the caves and in many cases to be placed together with other groupings that had been separated.

The show is a digital projection of the caves as they may have appeared to the original worshippers.

The show will be coming to Dallas and San Diego.
