"The search is proceeding as we had planned and hoped," said
Will Dudley, provost at the college. "The search committee talked
to many important stakeholders at the museum to understand what
we're looking for. A job description was put together and prospects
are being identified from around the world."

According to Dudley, the museum is "really special, a first-rate t
eaching museum that contributes to the education of Williams College
students and the community. It has a long history of local and
traveling exhibitions, so we're looking for someone who can carry
 on those traditions."
